The optical smoke detector is eminently suited to early detection of smoldering fires, but it also quickly detects flaming fires that produce smoke. The newly developed, high quality optoelectronic system ensures a homogenous response behavior across a wide smoke spectrum, ranging from light-colored to dark.
The heat detector works according to the differential heat measuring principle. The temperature sensor consists of two precision NTC thermistors. The absolute and the relative change of ambient temperature are measured. The open protective housing means that the ambient temperature has an almost unhindered effect on the sensor and protects it against mechanical damage.
Battery powered Ionization Smoke Detector and Fire Alarm (available in Optical and Ionization type). Supplied with zinc carbon PP3 battery. It gives a 30Day Low battery Alarm, before going out of service.
The multi-sensor detector contains an optical smoke sensor and a thermistor temperature sensor whose outputs are combined to give the alarm / warning. The multi-sensor is, therefore, useful over a wide range of applications and is highly immune to false alarm sources.

The Ultraviolet / infrared flame detectors are suitable for the detection of smokeless combustible liquid and gas fires, as well as smoke & forming open fire involving carbonaceous materials as contained in wood, plastics, gases, oil products etc.
There are three major categories of hazardous gases :
Combustible gases - posing a risk to personnel and facilities through fire or explosion.
Toxic gases - creating both immediate and long term risk to personnel.
Oxygen displacing gases - depleting workers’ oxygen supply in confined spaces.
The gas and flame monitoring system required for a specific application depends upon the scope of the hazardous gas risk.
Provide accurate, reliable detection of hazardous gases (wide range of industrial gases which poses potential risk). These modules provide an industry standard 4-20 mA / Relay / Modbus / Hart Protocol type output that can interface with single or multichannel controllers and distributed control systems.
Our gas sensor module series provides the latest in loop-powered gas detection loaded with features not normally found in these easy to install sensor modules. This series require minimal Maintenance. Continuous self-diagnostics, scrolling 16-character display and non-intrusive calibration.

The Flame detector Test Lamp activates UV, IR and UV/IR Flame detectors that detect at 185-235 nm UV and 4.4 μ IR radiation. For UV only detectors the maximum distance is up to 8 meters (26 ft) in the continue mode and up to 4 m (13 ft) in the pulse mode. The test range for IR and UV/IR detectors is up to 4 meters (13 ft).
Most IR Flame detectors have an extra alarm criterion through analyzing the flicker frequency of a fire. In order to simulate the flame flicker the lamp needs to be pulse operated. For this, the test lamp T-229/4P can be put into the pulse mode by means of a switch on the left side of the test lamp. The lamp then emits pulsed light with a frequency of approx. 2 Hz. After the alarm delay time, the IR or UV/IR flame detector will activate.

Operation: Before a test is carried out make sure the Flame detector is switched on and the alarm outputs are in override. Please avoid unwanted alarm signals as a result of your test. The Test Lamp will turn on by pressing the trigger and turn off when releasing the trigger. Point at the Flame detector within the test range and on the central axis of the cone of vision of the detector. Press the trigger and wait until the Flame detector is activated. Convince yourself that the switch on the left of the test lamp is in the continuous mode (see figure). For the For IR or UV/IR detectors the switch on the left of the test lamp should be in the pulse mode (see. In this mode the test lamp emits light with a pulse frequency from 2 Hz. Operate the trigger for at least the selected delay time. Most Flame detectors will respond within 30 seconds when the test criterions are met. Do not use the Test Lamp in intermittent operation or in continuous mode for longer than 1 minute. Wait at least 30 seconds after each test before performing the next test.
The Cargo hold Smoke Extraction and Detection System is used to detect smoke presence in the cargo holds of vessels. If there any smoke present, it is detected and alarmed.
The system complies with the requirements of SOLAS chapter II-2, FSS Code Chap. 10 and is safeguarded against explosion according to IEC 79 and EN 50 020.
Air samples are drawn continuously from each cargo hold by means of a fan unit aggregate, which has 2 fan units, and are normally run alternately to have evenly-distributed running hours. Samples of air containing smoke particles detected will result in an alarm being sounded at the main and repeater panels to indicate the exact cargo hold having the smoke presence.
This system is normally connected to the CO2 Fire Extinguishing System.
A typical Smoke Extraction and Detection System consists of the following primary components:
In addition, if needed:
The electrical connection between the smoke detection panel, one or more repeater panels and the relay box is provided by an RS-485 cable.
Optional extension panels are connected to the smoke detection panel via the smoke Detector connection cable.
Features and benefits
• Complies with SOLAS Chapter 11-2 and the FSS Code Chapter10.
• Type approved by all major Classification Societies including ABS, GL,
LR, BV and DnV.
• Compact and modular design saves cost.
• Utilizes existing CO2 pipe-work.
• Automatic air sampling and monitoring of up to 48 cargo holds.
• Repeater panels allow for monitoring from key locations on the vessel.
• Completely automated and self-adjusting.
• Explosion protected to IEC79 and EN 50 020.
• One button control for simple testing and resetting.

The Spectrex Long-Range Flame Simulator allows testing of optical flame detectors in areas where real fires cannot be ignited. Testing is also mandatory in some industries to "proof test" flame detector operation and to satisfy statutory requirements.
Testing optical flame detectors after they have been installed can be a difficult task with the associated cost and time, often requiring special ladders/scaffolding to reach the detectors, which are generally located near the ceiling or in a high position.
The Long-Range Fire Simulators are handheld devices specifically designed for use with the various SharpEye Optical Flame Detectors to test their response to fire from a distance up to 30 ft (9 m), without the need of actually igniting a fire in front of the detector or the need to reach the detector itself (no physical contact).
Please see the "Simulator" datasheet for more information

The Open-Area Sounder has been designed for use in open area.
The Loop-Powered Beacon is a local-area beacon designed for indoor use. The beacon has been developed as a supplement to sounders for use in situations where there is a risk that sounders will not be heard.
Beacon Enclosure The Beacon Enclosure is weatherproof and allows Apollo's loop-powered beacon to be used in high moisture environments such as swimming pools and food processing areas where wash-down occurs.
In order to ensure the safe and accurate operation of Fixed Gas Detectors, they need to be periodically calibrated against reference test gases. The recommended calibration period for gas detectors is six months although the frequency may need to be increased where continual exposure to the target gases is experienced.
Between calibrations it is also recommended that the response of the detector is checked using an appropriate test gas cylinder. These cylinders are available in 'large aerosol' form and may be supplied individually or as part of a Field Calibration Kit.
